Mail Call For 4.6.23

Back when I picked up the Charlton comics run of E-Man, the Rog-2000 back-up feature, which had some of the earliest professional comics work by John Byrne, made me think about another Charlton comic featuring early Byrne that I got a few issues of back when I was first exposed to E-Man.

I decided that one day I would pick those up, too.

One day is here*, and so we have ourselves a Mail Call.

I can’t say that I wouldn’t have bought all twelve anyway, but when I ordered them, I hadn’t realized that the last six issues are just reprints of the first six issues. (Hence the nearly-identical covers on some – with a few tweaks -and the lack of “all new” on the covers of 7-12.)

After discovering that, I did vaguely recall that I may have known that from back when I had a few issues as a kid. I don’t remember which issues I had, but I think that at least two of them featured the same contents despite having different issue numbers.

Oh well, at least I have them all, which puts me ahead of where I was. I mean, I guess.

*I had to go through three different sellers to get all of them. One of the issues arrived a couple of days ago, but I waited until I got the rest of them. Both shipments arrived today.
