It’s Free Comic Book Day<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I actually got five <\/em>free comics today; stickers aren’t always right.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

I got free stuff before I even entered the store, as I won a raffle while waiting in line:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also paid for something, opting to add to my poster book collection:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Actor Brendan Wayne – grandson of John – who portrays the on-set Mandalorian on the Disney+ series was at the comic shop as a special guest, as Free Comic Book Day coincided with Star Wars Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s rainy and miserable today, and the line to the tent where he was signing autographs and posing for pictures provided no cover, so I opted to leave after grabbing my stuff and doing my bit to support the shop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I took a few pictures, but most of them turned out blurry, so I’ll close out with the one that turned out clear, a shot of the shop’s owner – with some Mandalorians in the background – walking over to shake my hand while I was standing in line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
