In a case of “never judge a book by its cover,” I passed this one by when I saw it at the comic shop on Christmas Eve. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I picked it up and glanced at it – but not inside of it – and then put it back down because I didn’t care for the cover, or any of the other covers I saw on the shelf, and because I didn’t look inside, it didn’t actually register with me that this was the latest installment in the modern line up of swimsuit specials<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later, when I got home, I saw a couple of the pin-ups from it online as well as this variant cover, which would have led me to take more interest in the book if I’d seen it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still, on my New Year’s Eve trip to the comic shop, I did *ahem* resolve to pick up a copy, and fortunately I found a copy with this cover that I hadn’t seen the week before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In any case, I have it now, and it’s the subject of the first Unbagging of 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like the special from the summer, this one eschews the magazine parody format of the past<\/a> and instead has a standard narrative as the framing device for the swimsuit pictures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
