Which Way To Free?

It’s the first Saturday in May, and if it were any ordinary first Saturday in May it would also be Free Comic Book Day.

But, of course, it is not an ordinary first Saturday in May, and so that joyous occasion has been postponed until an as-yet-to-be-determined date.

Still, as I pointed out in the Reading List post, there are some options available for you to score some free comics every day.

I’ll be honest – I don’t always participate in FCBD, but I’m always happy whenever it comes around. And in the times when I do participate, while I hate having to stand in line to get into my comic shop, I’m thrilled to see that there is a line.

And someday, there will be a line.

In the meantime, check out the #FreeComicBookDay hashtag to find people sharing their love of comics and offering some virtual alternatives to the event to help comic-lovers and prospective comic-lovers get past the disappointment.

And there are plenty of webcomics out there to tide you over. Feel free to post links to some of your favorites in the comments, or maybe even sign up to start posting your own comics here!

As always, stay safe, and read comics!
