Mail Call For 12.10.22
Just one addition – or rather, re-addition – to the collection arrived in the mail this week.
I got this issue when it originally hit the stands 30+ years ago, but somewhere along the line in the decades that followed I lost my copy, along with the bulk of my copies of the series.
I’m not entirely certain I want to completely rebuild my collection; I have the entirety of the John Byrne issues collected as part of an omnibus, and honestly, I didn’t really enjoy the non-Byrne issues.
I’m not ruling anything out, and it’s possible that at some point I’ll get a wild (green) hair and decide to fill the gaps to have a complete run of the series, but in the meantime, I just wanted to get a replacement copy of this issue as it’s a favorite and – mostly because it features Shulkie in a bikini on the cover – it seems to be rising in value, and is currently one of the most valuable issues of the series.
I found it for a decent price in the Bay of E, purchased it, it arrived, and now I’m showing it to you.
Born and raised in the sparsely populated Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Jon Maki developed an enduring love for comics at an early age.
Byrne cemented She-Hulk as one of my all-time favorite characters right at the beginning of his run. I’m a sucker for Shulkie.
