Mail Call For 4.20.23

Sorry, nothing weed-focused for today, though one could argue that what I got is the result of me sometimes behaving as if I were stoned when I was younger.

After all, it used to be the case that I would just grab some comic at random just because it looked cool, even when it was, say, the second issue of a four-issue mini-series and the likelihood of getting the first, third, and fourth issues wasn’t really even a consideration.

Like, yeah, by the time I bought Havok and Wolverine: Meltdown #2, I did have occasional access to a comic shop – it was 100 miles away, but we made periodic trips to that town throughout the year – but I didn’t often pick up back issues there, as I had limited funds and had to make difficult choices.

So yeah, as far as I knew when I grabbed #2, that was the only issue I was likely to see, which, to my mind, seems like kind of a stoner thing to do.

In any case, years later, I finally got around to doing what non-stoner stoner Jon never really even considered doing – and couldn’t have conceived of doing, given that the whole “internet” thing would have boggled his mind back then – and picked up the other three issues.
