For as long as I can, er, remember, I’ve been forgetful.

This has only gotten worse as I’ve aged and I’ve begun to lose even the consolation prize of being able to remember random bits of trivia and little factoids I’ve encountered over the years in place of being able to do things like remember what I entered a room to do.

You would think I would *sigh* remember this problem when I go to the comic shop and have books I want to buy added to my Pull List instead of relying on my terrible memory, but, alas.

(Memory isn’t the only problem, though. There’s also the combination of my impatience and the insistence of some comic-buyers to stand in one spot in front of the week’s new releases without moving forever – or near enough from my perspective – preventing me from engaging in a full scan of what’s on offer before I just give up and check out with what I did manage to get, failing to grab whatever the other customer may have obscured.)

In any case, when I get a reminder of something I missed, I generally try to wait until my next trip to the shop to grab it, but frequently by the time I get there no additional copies are available and I have to resort to buying them online.

As was the case for these two items.

As long as my memory continues to fail me there will most likely be new Mail Call items, so be sure to check back again soon.

Born and raised in the sparsely populated Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Jon Maki developed an enduring love for comics at an early age.
