Mail Call For 4.5.25

Way back in January of last year, I did a Mail Call post for a Red Sonja figure I’d purchased in which I talked about having ordered as a result of watching a video about an upcoming Red Sonja figure.

I hinted that I might be ordering that one as well. Turns out I did, and now, just shy of 16 months later, that figure has arrived and is making an appearance here.

I appreciate that she comes with a stand, given how difficult it is to get the other one to stand up, though this one is actually better able to stand on its own.

Overall, I prefer the new to the old as it’s a better sculpt and comes with more accessories and better articulation.

Shame it took so long, though. That wouldn’t have bothered me as much if I’d at least gotten some updates, but beyond the initial acknowledgement of my order in January of 2024 I didn’t get any update until earlier this week when I was told that it was being packed in preparation for shipping.

I found it especially annoying given that I believe it was originally supposed to ship in the second quarter of last year.

Still, I have it now, and now I have to figure out how I’m going to accessorize her and pose her, and where the hell I’m even going to put her.

There are still plenty of things – some of which I ordered long before this – that still need to make their way to my doorstep, so check back soon for the next Mail Call.
