Even if I hadn’t mentioned it, you should have known from last week’s Pull List that there would be some variants in the mail.

You may wonder why it is that I don’t just buy these variants at the comic shop. It’s because they don’t have them. A lot of them are incentives that require ordering X number of copies of a given issue in order to get them. #2H, for example, required ordering fifteen copies of the issue just to get one copy of that cover. Bettie Page just isn’t a big enough seller for them to order enough copies to get all of the incentives, and even if they order enough to get one of them, odds are someone else has bought it before I got there.
And that Coppertone Homage is a retailer exclusive that’s only sold by The 616 Comics.
Thus, I go online to get my fix.
And while online, added a couple more issues to the Warlord run.
I’ve got some other random comics – comics that aren’t sold in my shop at all – on the way, but I’m not sure that I’ll be placing any new orders anytime soon, other than some Bettie Page variants.
