I’ll admit that it’s a slimmer volume than I expected, reprinting a lot less of the run than I thought it would, but there’s another volume coming later this year, which you’ll definitely be seeing in a Mail Call post.

Born and raised in the sparsely populated Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Jon Maki developed an enduring love for comics at an early age.
It’s a glorious thing. Did you pick up the Rom and the X-Men floppy?
I thought about it, but decided against it, because I figured it’d be in one of the volumes of the omnibus.
I’m a sucker for a special issue, so I picked it up. I remember the series being pretty dark, for that era, but, man, it’s REALLY dark, but oddly hopeful. One thing I really miss in modern Marvel comics is all the perfectly ordinary folks having a role in the narrative.
